Acceptable Use Policy
Hellfire Games, Inc. (“Hellfire”) grants you a limited license to access and use Big City Stories (the “Game”) in accordance with the license agreement (“Agreement”) and in strict compliance with this Acceptable Use Policy (“Rules”).
I. Restrictions on use and access
You may not use or access the Game if:
a. Your account has been terminated or suspended by Hellfire;
b. You do not fully accept to be bound by the terms of the Agreement and these Rules;
c. You violate any of the Rules or breach the Agreement.
II. Prohibited Conduct
a. Conduct towards other players.
i. You may not engage in any conduct that is: insulting, disrespectful, abusive, harassing or otherwise harmful to others.
ii. You may not make inflammatory, discriminatory, vulgar or derogatory comments based on race, nationality, religion, culture, gender, or sexual preference.
iii. You may not engage in spamming, use chatbots, offer goods or services for sale, or otherwise annoy others.
iv. When in a public spaces (such as the Train Station) you will not spam, annoy, solicit business, or harass others. For example you will not engage in griefing, spamming, or attempt to bypass the profanity filter.
v. You will not solicit personal information from other players for any purpose that would violate any law, or this AUP or the Agreement.
vi. When publishing content intended to be seen by the community (such as postcards), you will not use content (words, images, etc.) that could reasonably be deemed obscene, abusive, offensive, sexually suggestive, defamatory, or illegal.
b. Conduct towards Hellfire.
i. You may not engage in or assist or encourage others to:
1. Disrupt service to any computer or server used to offer or support the Game (including Denial of Server “DoS” style attacks).
2. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Game or any of its servers, or other players’ accounts.
3. Engage in any type of attack, including distributing a virus, DoS attacks, or other conduct intended to disrupt the Game or any other person’s access, use or enjoyment of the Game.
4. Use cheats, exploits, automation software, bots, hacks, mods or any unauthorized third-party software designed to modify or interfere with the Game.
c. Violation of laws.
i. You may not engage in any behavior which constitutes a violation of local, state, or federal law.
ii. You will not violate or infringe any parties’ intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademark.
III. Acknowledgement of Risks
a. You acknowledge and accept that Hellfire Games is not responsible for the behavior of or content produced by any individual player. This game offers online communication with others which may expose you to content or messages you deem inappropriate or unacceptable. You understand that players are solely responsible for their behavior and the content of their messages.
